SAFOTO WEB GALLERIES EXHIBITION PROPOSAL GUIDELINES
We host ongoing exhibitions of photography and photography-based work in our SAFOTO WEB GALLERIES. All web exhibits are curated by Michael Mehl (Festival Director) or by designated guest curators.
We have an open call policy for proposals. All photographers and photo-based artists are encouraged to send us portfolios of their work, anytime.
Please read instructions carefully. Proposals that do not follow our guidelines will not be considered.

CONDITIONS
We do not guarantee an exhibit in our web galleries. For a body of work to be considered for the SAFOTO WEB GALLERIES, the images must fit the curator's selection criteria, which includes, but is not limited to, cohesiveness, consistency, and image quality.
SENDING IMAGES
We prefer images as Photoshop, JPEG, TIFF, or PDF files on a Mac-readable CD or DVD.
We accept images via email or third party FTP services like www.yousendit.com.
We also accept portfolio books and prints.
We will review portfolios of images featured in artist-owned or gallery-owned web sites.
We do not review portfolios on third-party, community/network web sites.
High resolution digital file requirements: Photoshop, JPEG, TIFF, or PDF.
10 inches on the longest side. RGB. 300 DPI.
Low resolution digital file requirements (for review only): Photoshop, JPEG, TIFF, or PDF.
10 inches on the longest side. RGB. 72 DPI.
- Send 20 to 40 images from a consistent, coherent, recent body of work.
- Images for review should be 10 inches on their longest side, 72 DPI on a DVD or CD.
Final selected images should be reproduction quality digital files on a DVD or CD. Digital files should be 10 inches on their longest side, 300 DPI, Photoshop JPEG, TIFF, or PDF files only.
All files should be Macintosh compatible. Reproduction quality prints no larger than 8 x 10 inches are also acceptable. Reproduction quality slides are acceptable for viewing, but digital files will be required for selected images to be included in a web gallery exhibit. - Fill out the SAFOTO WEB GALLERIES PROPOSAL FORM.
- Include a brief bio or resume.
- Include a SASE or sufficient postage for your package if you want it returned. Accepted images or CD's will become part of our archives and will not be returned.
