A. D. Coleman – Photocritic International

A. D. Coleman, the New York-based photo critic, historian, and curator, has announced the debut of his new blog, Photocritic International, now online at http://photocritic.com.

To subscribe, just key your email address into the field on the main page, then continue with a few clicks on the subscription screen, and confirm via the follow-up email. You’ll get new posts automatically in your email inbox. In addition to commenting on the posts, subscribers can ask Coleman to create posts on topics they suggest, thus opening up a Comments thread for dialogue on that subject with Coleman and others.

Coleman plans to use Photocritic International as a vehicle for book and exhibition reviews, event reports, commentary on aspects of the global photo scene, updates on his own projects, and more. Many of his posts will include relevant legacy texts from his extensive archive of writings on photography and related matters, which stretches back to the late 1960s.

Photocritic International replaces Coleman’s internet newsletter, C: the Speed of Light, which he has published since 1995. With C: the Speed of Light Coleman became the first writer on photography to establish a substantial presence on the web. Like its predecessor, Photocritic International is imbedded within The Nearby Café, the multi-subject electronic magazine Coleman has published and edited since 1995.
