One of the favorite destinations of our annual FOTOSEPTIEMBRE USA pilgrimages, is Say Sí, whose students always produce exciting, clever, bodies of work. Readymade Redux, an all-student exhibit showcasing experimental photography in mixed-media, is a must-see for photography enthusiasts. Readymade Redux is actually two exhibits. One, Foto Escultura, by Say Sí Middle School Art Students is a modern interpretation of the traditional technique of using photographic images as the basis for three-dimensional photo sculptures, presented in a playful image-and-sound-installation format. Number two is the Altered Objects exhibit by Say Sí High School Media and Visual Art Students, exploring relationships between images and objects.

  1. I really liked the pictures in the exhibition part that are photos of the students and are tinted. The picture of the students with Jon Hinojosa was good also.
I’m so glad you included them in your 2008 exhibitions and events…
