Call For Entries FOTOSOMMER Stuttgart 2010 Award Show.
From all entries the participants will be selected by an international jury, which will as well nominate the winners of the SÜDWESTBANK-FOTOSOMMER Award. These will receive a total of 5.000,- Euro prize money (2.500,- / 1.500,- / 1.000.- Euro).
Entry deadline: February 13, 2010
The Award Show of the FOTOSOMMER Stuttgart 2010 will include a wide range of artistic to documentary positions and will give an overview of contemporary photography. The Award Show will be presented in the Württembergische Kunstverein in the center of Stuttgart.
Opening and award ceremony: July 17, 2010, 8 pm
Duration of exhibition: July 18 – August 20, 2010

2902 Gallery is an artist-run gallery dedicated to promoting the appreciation of the photographic arts. The Gallery’s name speaks of a rare moment (each leap year) captured in time by a photograph. As the largest photo art gallery in Southeast Asia, 2902 Gallery presents shows of both local and international artists. 2902 Gallery organizes artist talks, seminars and workshops for photographers and the general public to further enhance the appreciation of the art of photography.
In the past year, the Gallery has hosted close to 20 exhibitions with the participation of more than 50 photographers. This is also the festival office and main exhibition space for the inaugural Singapore International Photography Festival (SIPF) in 2008. This year, the gallery is showcasing creative new works from talented students & graduates from local institutions, and new bodies of work from established photographers.

SuperMassiveBlackHole is dedicated to the photographic imagery resulting from the time-based processes found in many interdisciplinary art practices today. The magazine seeks to engage and represent respective projects and ideas which utilise Photography (digital or analog), New Media (high or low tech), and Performance (through documentation). Fine Artists are encouraged to engage with the magazine as a way of exhibiting, testing, developing and experimenting with new (or old) ideas whether it is through a single image or a structured project.
Time, Space, Light and Gravity are what drive SuperMassiveBlackHole.
For submissions:
Images: Up to three images. Should be 300 DPI and at least 1200 pixels on widest side. Save them as RGB, JPEG files on setting 12 (do not optimize).
Statement: All images and projects should be accompanied by a Statement relevant to the specific submission. Should be no more than 200 words long and contained in Email body.
Bio: Should be no more than 100 words long and contained in Email body.
Contact: Email and website address, city and country, should be included in Email body.
Writing: We are also interested in any writing on photographic practices or subjects, reviews of an exhibition, book or website. Submissions should not exceed 1000 words, and should be Emailed along with a Bio and Contact details.

European Photography 30th Anniversary Issue.
30 artists who were presented in earlier issues are showing their best recent work. In a second portfolio section, new, cutting-edge photography by seven young and mid-career artists is featured. Also in this issue: a conversation between Hans-Michael Koetzle and Andreas Müller-Pohle on the “secrets” of magazine publishing, current trends and how to combine being an artist and a publisher.

3rd Annual International Juried Plastic Camera Show
Call for Entries.
Description
The competition is open to artists working with plastic cameras with plastic lenses. The more obsolete, flawed, and lo-tech, the better. Images should be taken with cameras with limited controls, such as Diana, Holga, Lubitel, Lomo, Banner, and Ansco cameras. Beautiful prints from less-than-gorgeous cameras – that’s what we’re looking for!
Prizes
Best of Show receives $250. 4 additional juror awards: Honorable mentions receive plastic cameras of our choosing… curious?
Entry Procedure

·Entry Fee: There is a non-refundable entry fee of $25. Check or money order should be made payable to RayKo Photo Center.
·Limit 5 images per person:
·CD entries must be jpegs
·Save files with artist’s last name and title of image
·Contact information should be on the CD and CD case
·Please note that any work deemed misrepresented by its CD will be declined
·SASE or adequate postage for notification and return of CD, if desired
·Late submissions or substitute images will not be hung

Notification of juried results will be mailed and/or emailed on Jan 13, 2010. Accepted artists will be invited to send or deliver actual work.
Submission of Accepted Work
All work must be framed or mounted with a wire affixed and ready to hang. NO SAW TOOTH HANGERS, please. Entries will be handled with the greatest of care, however, RayKo assumes no liability for work on its premises. All works selected for exhibition must be for sale. RayKo will retain 40% commission on all photographs sold, so please price your work accordingly. Please note that images selected for the show may be used for promotion of the exhibition.
